What Are Paradox Pokémon?
Paradox Pokémon are mysterious Pokémon introduced in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Ancient Paradox Pokémon appear primarily in Pokémon Scarlet, while Future Paradox Pokémon appear primarily in Pokémon Violet.
Their designs resemble familiar Pokémon, but they are separate species with their own National Pokédex numbers, types, Abilities and base stats. They are not regional forms or ordinary evolutions of the Pokémon they resemble.
Koraidon and Miraidon are the only Legendary Pokémon in this 22-species group. The remaining Paradox Pokémon are not classified as Legendary, even when they resemble a Legendary Pokémon.

How to Get Every Paradox Pokémon
Acquisition depends on story progress, version, DLC ownership and whether an official event is active.
Standard Area Zero encounters
After sufficient story progress, the regular Ancient or Future Paradox Pokémon for your version appear in Area Zero. Trade for the opposite version's exclusives.
Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant
These postgame species appear in a less obvious cave within Area Zero rather than alongside every common Paradox encounter.
Koraidon and Miraidon
Your partner Legendary is obtained through the story. After completing the main story, a second Koraidon or Miraidon can be caught in Area Zero and can be traded.
Walking Wake and Iron Leaves
These Pokémon have been offered in limited-time 5-star Tera Raid events and cannot normally be encountered in Paldea. Check current official event announcements for availability.
