Pokémon Dream World and Entree Forest Guide
Document the historical Game Sync system and what remains after official service closure.
Dream World was a Pokémon Global Link browser service connected through Game Sync. It supplied Pokémon, items and Hidden Abilities for transfer into Entree Forest, but the official Gen5 service has ended and new normal Dream World sessions are no longer available.
Requirements
Historical use required C-Gear, Game Sync, a compatible online account and the active official service.
Previously transferred Pokémon already saved in Entree Forest or a cartridge remain local save data.
Original workflow
Game Sync
Tuck in a compatible Pokémon through the C-Gear and synchronize the save with Pokémon Global Link.
Dream World
Explore browser areas, befriend Pokémon and select items while the official service was active.
Wake and receive
Synchronize again, then use the Entralink and Entree Forest to encounter the selected Pokémon in the cartridge.
Hidden Abilities
Dream World was a major original source of Hidden Ability Pokémon. A Hidden Ability was not guaranteed for every ordinary in-game encounter, and Dream World availability should not be generalized to the whole species.
Service status
The official Generation V Pokémon Global Link and Dream World service has been discontinued. This page is historical documentation and does not claim that official Game Sync is still operational. It does not provide private-server, bypass or cheating instructions.
BW and B2W2 differences
- Both use Game Sync and Entree Forest concepts, but available promotions and Dream World catalogs changed over time.
- B2W2 also introduced Hidden Grottoes as an in-cartridge source for selected Hidden Ability Pokémon.
- Dream Radar is separate Nintendo 3DS software and should not be described as Dream World.

What happens to Pokémon already in Entree Forest?
Pokémon already transferred into the cartridge are part of that local save and are distinct from starting a new discontinued online session.
