Quick Answer

Both stories use Shauntal, Grimsley, Caitlin and Marshal. BW's first League visit continues to N and Ghetsis before Alder becomes a later Champion challenge; B2W2 ends the main League route with Champion Iris.

Requirements

Bring broad answers for Ghost, Dark, Psychic and Fighting teams.

Prepare separately for BW's story finale or B2W2's Iris battle.

Black and White first challenge

The player defeats the Elite Four, but N has already defeated Alder. N's Castle rises around the League, leading to the version legendary encounter, N and Ghetsis. Alder is challenged as Champion only on a later League run.

Black 2 and White 2 Champion

After the sequel Elite Four, Iris is the Champion. Her team is Dragon-centered but not mono-type, so Ice coverage alone is not a complete plan. Prepare for speed, strong physical attacks and varied coverage.

Level and team preparation

  • Use the in-game League level curve as the final check rather than importing modern competitive assumptions.
  • Carry healing and status recovery before entering because the Elite Four sequence limits normal route access.
  • Generation V has no Fairy type; do not plan Fairy answers from a modern chart.
