Quick Answer

Go beneath Cycling Road on Route 206 and search under the bridge for Wayward Cave's hidden western entrance. Gible appears only on B1F reached through that entrance: levels 15–17 at 15% in Diamond/Pearl, and levels 17, 19, or 20 at 20% in Platinum.

Requirements

Access to Route 206 beneath Cycling Road

Diamond/Pearl: Strength available to move the B1F obstacle

Poké Balls, Repels, and optionally an Escape Rope

A Pokémon near the target encounter level if using a Repel-based search

Find the correct Wayward Cave entrance

  1. Enter the lower Route 206 path

Use Cut to reach the grass and open ground beneath Cycling Road. Move toward the western side under the bridge rather than the visible cave doorway to the east.

  2. Search beneath the bridge

The hidden entrance is obscured by the overhead road. Walk against the rock wall under Cycling Road until the screen transitions into a separate Wayward Cave section.

  3. Reach B1F

This entrance leads to the basement bicycle maze. Diamond and Pearl place a Strength boulder near the route, delaying access until Strength can be used; Platinum removes that obstacle and permits an earlier catch.

  4. Search the basement

Gible appears in the hidden B1F area, not through the visible entrance where Mira is found. Repels can reduce unwanted lower-level encounters when the lead Pokémon is chosen carefully, but they do not increase Gible's underlying slot rate.

Encounter and evolution data

Gible evolves into Gabite at level 24 and Garchomp at level 48. It rewards early investment with excellent Dragon/Ground offense, but a newly caught Gible may need focused training and has a severe Ice weakness once used in major battles.
