Silk Trap

Protects from damaging attacks; contact lowers the attacker's Speed by 1 stage.

Protects the user from most attacks made by other Pokémon during the turn. Status moves pass through. Pokémon trying to make contact have their Speed lowered by 1 stage. It shares the consecutive-use counter of protection moves: the denominator starts at 1 and triples after each success, then resets after a failure, a non-protection move, or broken protection. Fails if the user acts last.
